The seasons are changing! In Louisiana it goes from Christmas/New Year’s celebrations to Mardi Gras! January 6th is here; it is Epiphany! Epiphany is known by several different names, including Three Kings Day and El Día de Los Reyes Magos. Today celebrates the three kings who each gave a gift to the baby Jesus. So thankful for the example of faith, trust and adventure the kings exhibited.
The fine porcelain salad plates include an ornate gold band and a reproduction of original artwork by Paul Schexnayder. Paul is a nationally recognized artist and children’s book author. He is one of the most creative people I have ever met. It has been so much fun working with Paul on creative projects over the years. This crown image is from a collection of Mardi Gras images and is one of my favorites.
