Bunnies with Floral Bonnet Plates Add Festive Touch to Any Meal

Still, I believe every meal, no matter how casual, deserves a touch of special attention. Setting the table with favorite dishes along with a cheerful centerpiece and colorful linens helps make even a simple weeknight dinner feel like a festive occasion. I believe not all tablescapes have to be complex nor super fancy to be fun. It’s the little details that turn ordinary moments into memories. Life is truly about creating and collecting memories while having fun!
With Easter getting closer by the day, using my Easter things is a must. For this tablescape, I selected these darling Easter Bunny Salad Plates with their lovely floral bonnets to be the star of the table. I love this artwork—four different images are shown on this table from the collection of six. These plates are perfect for everyday use as they are dishwasher and microwave safe. The salad plates are placed on a lovely reproduction of a Dresden style plate with elegant cutwork and excellent scroll detailing. Glasses, table lines and flatware are all items from my collection of "all things table related". I strongly believe in using what you already have and purchasing a new item like these bunny plates to add fun to your table while keeping it fresh and festive. Salad plates in assorted holiday designs are an economical investment when building your tabletop collection.
The centerpiece includes a charming bunny figurine given to me by my mother-in-law. I love how its soft color coordinates beautifully with the colors of the bunnies on the salad plates. The brass table lamps add a nice warm feeling to the mix; they were a gift from my sister, Maree DeBuse. Maree is the best sister and always gives gifts that she knows I will enjoy using in my home. The floral arrangement is by Dick Sulser. I had the opportunity to meet Dick at the recent BTS BASH (Beautiful Table Setting) in Vicksburg, Mississippi this past January. The BASH as is a multiple day mini convention/conference for table setting enthusiast. Hundreds of people gather in Vicksburg annually to hear fascinating presentations on all things related to tablescaping, tabletop, dinnerware, antiques, home decor and entertaining, along with shopping from vendors who traveled from across the country to participate. Maree and I were there as first-time vendors; it was a great experience! More importantly at these events friendships are formed with individuals with similar interest adding to the fun of tablescaping. If you missed the January event please be sure and join in the fun at the BTS Wetumpka Bash, April 23-25. The floral piece is placed on an antique Nippon porcelain tray, which, though showing some age, remains a treasured piece in my collection—it was a gift from a very dear friend. Life truly is about family, friendship, and memories, along with a few nice tablescapes mixed in for fun.
